Migration to Shopify

The e-commerce site was moved from the previous Magento 2 platform to Shopify.

Custom product discount management

Built an app to manage catalogue discounts following the Magento 2 model, allowing the client to handle the price list in a simple and fast way.

Integrations

Custom integration of the site with the Zucchetti Atelier ERP system.

Project approach

The client’s needs

The Magento 2 platform was no longer suited to the client’s needs for this e-commerce.
It required updates and improvements on both the frontend and the backend.
The integrations with the Zucchetti Atelier ERP system were not optimal either.
The client needed a simpler platform to manage, with a more modern and functional design. A clear example was having to rely on a developer every time a banner on the homepage needed to be changed.

Goals

  • Preserve the existing search rankings of the e-commerce site
  • Give the e-commerce site a new look with a more modern and functional design.
  • Become independent in managing content
  • Optimise costs for the various integrations in place

What was done

  • Development of the graphic template for the new Shopify e-commerce.
  • Setup of 301 redirects from the old products and categories to the new ones (revised with SEO in mind)
  • Development of a custom app for catalogue discount management following the Magento 2 model
  • Integration with Zucchetti Atelier (ERP) through a Shopify app
