Move from Magento to Shopify without losing data or rankings

Catalog, customers, orders and SEO moved to Shopify with a tested migration plan. Leave Magento hosting, upgrades and maintenance behind, without starting from scratch.

Why Magento merchants want to switch

High running costs

Dedicated hosting, security updates, developers always on the payroll: Magento is expensive even when it sells little.

Complex upgrades

Magento 1 is end-of-life and every Magento 2 upgrade is a project of its own, with the risk of breaking customizations and extensions.

Slow store

Poor performance and long load times hurt conversions and rankings, despite caching and optimizations.

Fear of losing SEO

Years of rankings and order history: the number one fear of anyone migrating is losing traffic and data in the switch.

What the migration includes

A switch managed end-to-end, not a generic export/import:

Catalog migration

Products, categories, attributes, variants and images moved from Magento to Shopify with the right structure.

Customers and order history

Customer records and order history imported, so your store starts out with the data it always had.

301 redirects and SEO continuity

Full mapping of old URLs onto the new ones: rankings are preserved and Google finds no broken pages.

Catalog discounts

The price rules Magento handles natively I rebuild on Shopify with dedicated apps: strikethrough prices, quantity and per-customer discounts.

Content and blog

CMS pages, articles and editorial content moved to Shopify without losing text and images.

Integrations preserved

ERP, business systems, PIM and marketplaces already connected to Magento I reconnect to Shopify, without interrupting the flows.

How I manage the switch

1. Analysis and mapping

I take a snapshot of your Magento: catalog, URLs, customizations, integrations and discounts. From there comes a clear migration plan, before touching anything.

2. Migration and testing

I move the data to a staging environment and check catalog, redirects and integrations with your real data, until everything adds up.

3. Go-live and monitoring

The new store goes live with redirects active, and I monitor rankings in the weeks following launch.

Frequently asked questions

No, if the migration is done right. I map all old URLs with 301 redirects to the matching pages on Shopify: the SEO value you built up is transferred and organic traffic is preserved. After launch I monitor rankings to react immediately to any anomalies.
They are imported into Shopify: customer records and order history stay available. We decide together how much history to bring over, based on your support and invoicing needs.
Shopify doesn't have Magento's catalog price rules out of the box, but I rebuild them with dedicated apps: strikethrough prices visible in category and product pages, quantity or per-customer discounts. It's the most frequent request from people coming from Magento and I solve it case by case.
It depends on the catalog size and the number of integrations. A typical migration goes to production in a few weeks: after the first call you receive a clear estimate and a defined scope.
Yes. The integrations you had on Magento — ERP, PIM, marketplaces, feeds — I reconnect to Shopify using the official APIs, so data flows keep working after the switch.
